Chelsea transfer news LIVE: Rafael Leao in talks, Aubameyang-Alonso swap could be hours away, Neymar 'offered' | The Sun

CHELSEA are in talks with AC Milan striker Rafael Leao, according to reports.

The Blues are also said to be in talks to snap up Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan.

Meanwhile Chelsea are still looking to push through a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with an agreement reportedly hours away.

As part of their offer, Marcos Alonso would move the other way to Barcelona.

The Aubameyang deal has taken a hit due to the fact he will be out for three weeks after receiving a broken jaw during the armed robbery of his house.

However, there remains hope that the move will get over the line.

And despite reports that Neymar has been offered to Chelsea, a deal is not thought to be realistic at this time.

    More on Chelsea transfer record

Prem giants Manchester City held the previous record, when they spent a massive £222m in 2017.

And the Blues themselves came close when they shelled out £220m two summers ago.

That was the transfer window when Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Medy and Thiago Silva came to Stamford Bridge.

But with Todd Boehly now at the helm, Chelsea have steamrolled the previous amounts set.

Fofana becomes the latest big money addition – joining Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.

    Koulibaly criticised

Ex-Chelsea man Frank Labouef has taken aim at new signing Kalidou Koulibaly.

He said on ESPN: "Koulibaly is not there yet. He had a good goal against Spurs but defensively he’s not there yet.

"On the second goal they conceded with Thiago Silva they don’t talk to each other. They both follow Adams but Armstrong is free, so there’s many things to adjust in order to get something.

"They miss so much [N’Golo] Kante in the middle of the park you know to get the ball back, to put some level of pace that they don’t have with Jorginho."

    Tuchel sack odds slashed

The odds on Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel being the next Premier League manager to get sacked have been slashed.

His side were poor yesterday in the loss to Southampton and he has launched into his team for not being tough enough.

Tuchel has spend huge sums of money this summer but he is now down to 9/1 to lose his job.

Just 24 hours ago he was at 25/1.

Only Brendan Rodgers, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard are tipped by the bookies to be more likely to lose their job than Tuchel.

    Fofana fires shots at Rodgers

Following his move to Chelsea, Wesley Fofana has said farewell to Leicester.

Writing on his Instagram, the centre-back appeared to take aim at his former manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Foxes boss made him train with the Under-23s and dropped him from the matchday squad because Fofana was trying to force his way out.

Rodgers also accused him of not turning up to training.

Fofana wrote: “I chose not to communicate during this transfer window despite all the criticism and all the often false and misleading comments, even when they were coming from the club.

    “I understood and I learned.

“I didn’t want to damage the image of the institution and I chose to take it rather than answer.

“Thanks to the managers, to the coach who has always appreciated me, even if he chose to expose me a lot lately… I got it coach.”

    Chelsea dealt Gordon blow

“On a bigger picture than that, he is our player who we’ve developed and there’s an affiliation with him and the fans and vice versa.

“Clearly, the interest has been there because he’s a top player. And that’s why we’re so keen to keep him.”

    Weak Chelsea

Thomas Tuchel continued to hit out at his players for not being strong enough and not having the right attitude.

"We were not tough enough as a team. Soft defending.

"What stops that is pure mentality, stop it with defending mentality.

"There is no superiority for the opponent, there is no need to give shots away, just toughen up as a team and show a different mentality.

"I don't like to talk about it normally because you cannot prove it with data or tactical position,

"But it is like this, both goals are cheap, soft goals and should not happen if you expect to win a match in the evening at an away stadium."
