Conor McGregor breaks silence over WWE and UFC joining in merger as Dana White's company's worth soars to $12 BILLION | The Sun

CONOR MCGREGOR has spoken out on a rumoured takeover of WWE by UFC parent company Endeavour.

The legendary MMA fighter was delighted by the news, and congratulated the UFC.

He tweeted: "Congrats to the @ufc now worth a cool Proper $12bn. Wow! Endeavor bout to scoop the @WWE now also. Incredible. What a powerhouse!"

Many fans of the Notorious will have also noted the pun he placed in his tweet, with a nod to his Proper Twelve whisky brand.

The label, which he last year sold a majority stake in for $600million, was named after Dublin postal District, number 12, where the fighter grew up.

McGregor also celebrated the news by posting a mock-up of himself with WWE and UFC title belts.

Heyman tweeted: ".@TheNotoriousMMA is a @WWERomanReigns wannabe!!!"

But McGregor bit back, responding: "Careful Grampa. I’ll show up and break your jaw in 3 places."

A CNBC report revealed that Endeavour are close to a deal to purchase the WWE.
