Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson slams 'absurd' claims he promoted Black Adam movie in tweet about The Queen's death | The Sun

DWAYNE JOHNSON has slammed an “absurd” claim he promoted his Black Adam movie in a tweet about The Queen's death.

The Hollywood star, who was spotted warmly greeting Daniel Craig's daughter Ella Loudon at the premiere of his new film this week, is also joined in the star-studded film by the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Quintessa Swindell, Noah Centineo, and Aldis Hodge.

However, the WWE wrestling legend has taken time away from promoting his latest project to condemn a fake tweet.

The powerhouse, better known as The Rock, shared a heartfelt message to Britain's Royal Family as the nation grieved the loss of Queen Elizabeth II last month.

It came after fake tweets were posted that had the movie star's name attached in which he paid tribute to her Majesty while plugging Black Adam went viral.

Dwayne Johnson wants to take Tyson Fury under his wing and help him crack Hollywood

ABC News were allegedly among the outlets that fell for the tweet, which was created by a BarStool Sports journalist.

But after spotting the clip being shared again online yesterday, the 50-year-old decided to respond and once again slam the lies.

Johnson tweeted: “Feel free to go on my official accounts and you’ll see the time I mentioned the Queen & Royal Family was to offer me and my family’s condolences and strength during this difficult time.

“Again, absurd & false.”

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury has been offered the chance to crack Hollywood under the tutelage of Johnson.

The Gypsy King has come out of his short-lived boxing retirement and will defend his WBC heavyweight world title on December 3 at Tottenham against Derek Chisora.

Now he could be preparing to take on the silver screen with the help of the “Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment”.

Johnson told talkSPORT: “Tyson’s my boy, I love Tyson.

“Of course, everyone knows his story and I love how he’s overcome mental health challenges and he’s just such an advocate, so nothing but love and respect for Tyson.

“I know he loves WWE and we had a good chat about that, so if he gets into Hollywood, then call me and we’ll make something.”
