NEWCASTLE UNITED are reportedly plotting a transfer swoop for Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters.
Boss Eddie Howe is determined to strengthen his squad this summer ahead of their return to the Champions League next term.
They are already closing in on a £65m deal for AC Milan’s Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali after the star agreed personal terms.
And they are also in the hunt to bring in Leicester City attacker James Maddison.
Howe also wants to bolster his Newcastle defence and has now been linked with the twice-capped England international.
However, the Daily Mail claims that any move for the 26-year-old ex-Tottenham ace “will depend on what they have left of their budget”.
