PORTSMOUTH fans have been left reeling with the 'worst kit ever' ahead of the new season.
The shirt, which celebrates the 125th anniversary, is a salmon shade – the first colour Pompey sported in back in 1898.
The distinctive colour was extensively researched by the Pompey History Society to ensure itsaccuracy.
The £55 shirt is Portsmouth's third kit, and is made of 100 per cent recycled polyester as part of Nike’s 'Move to Zero' initiative.
Club midfielder Marlon Pack stated: “I’m certain it will be popular with our supporters, who are always proud to embrace Pompey's rich history and tradition."
However many Portsmouth fans don't agree, and took to social media to air their grievances.

One unhappy fan tweeted: "This is the worst kit ever, what a way to honour the anniversary".
While a second noted: "Not a fan of this one, I think the sleeves should have been pink and I don't like the badge it makes it look fake!".
A third fan blasted: "What the hell is that? The original kit doesn't have burgundy sleeves".
A fourth declared: "It's disappointing which sums up this football clubat the moment".
