Erik ten Hag demands Man Utd improve in two areas after disappointing Real Madrid friendly loss | The Sun

ERIK TEN HAG has called on his Manchester United team to step up in two key areas following their pre-season defeat to Real Madrid.

Goals from Jude Bellingham and a sensational overhead kick from Joselu handed the Spanish giants a 2-0 win in Texas.

And Ten Hag insisted during his post-match assessment that they need to improve when it comes to both their pressing and finishing.

He said: "Pressing can be better. It was much better against Arsenal.

"We can be more compact. We can be more cool with the ball. Nevertheless, we had chances, but we didn't not marked."

He also went on to add: "We have to work on finishing. That's what we need to improve."

Their Premier League campaign then gets underway at home to Wolves on August 14.

Meanwhile, midfielder Scott McTominay suffered a worrying injury during the loss to Real Madrid.
