Everton interested in ex-Man Utd ace Adnan Januzaj on free transfer if Chelsea sign Anthony Gordon in £50m deal | The Sun

EVERTON are ready to make a move for Adnan Januzaj if Chelsea complete the signing of Anthony Gordon, according to reports.

Gordon, 21, has been the subject of bids from Chelsea who are willing to pay a reported £50million to sign the winger.


The Toffees are already lining up their replacement claims journalist Sacha Tavolieri and the club have identified Januzaj.

The Belgian is currently a free agent after leaving Real Sociedad on a free transfer at the end of last season.

Rumours suggest that Januzaj would be interested in a move to Everton after so far rejecting other proposals from European clubs.

He is believed to be keen on a return to the Premier League, the division his career began in when he burst onto the scene as a Manchester United youngsters back in 2013.

He scored twice on his debut and earned rave reviews but unfortunately never fully reached his potential and had loan spells away from Old Trafford at Sunderland and Borussia Dortmund.

Januzaj, 27, has spent the last five season at Real Sociedad in LaLiga playing 168 times for the club netting on 23 occasions.

He has previously attracted attention this summer from West Ham, with ex-manager David Moyes supposedly considering a reunion.

As for Gordon, he was one of Everton's standout players in a poor season for them last campaign scoring four league goals.
