Ex-Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey pushing for free transfer amid talks with Juventus over RIPPING UP £400k-a-week contract | The Sun

AARON RAMSEY reportedly wants to settle the final year of his contract with Juventus so that he can join another club for free.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who report that Ramsey, 31, is prepared to rip up the Juve deal that sees him earn £400,000 per week.

That is because the Wales international wants to play regular first-team football ahead of this winter's 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The ex-Arsenal star spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers and wants to become a free agent to join another club in the summer.

The midfielder has struggled under Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and expressed his dissatisfaction with the Italian tactician's training methods in October.

Ramsey previously said: "The training philosophy and methods are different in my club from when I’m with Wales.

"There are a lot of people working for Wales who have a number of years of managing me.

"So they know how to get the best out of me and allow me to play a lot of games in a row.

"Because my outputs in games are pretty high, maybe I need a bit more rest and recovery throughout the week rather than maybe being on the grass for a long period of time and carrying more fatigue into games."

Ramsey would pose as an attractive target for various clubs as they wouldn't have to pay a transfer fee to add him to their squad in the summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old is among Wales manager Rob Page's top players and has helped his national team make the World Cup finals.

The Welshman also stood out at Arsenal where he amassed 65 goals and 65 assists in 371 appearances throughout his 11-year stint at the Emirates before joining Juventus in 2019.

Ramsey has struggled to stand out in Turin as he has only managed 70 appearances across all competitions.
