Ex-Man Utd star brutally trolls Kai Havertz on MUTV during 2-0 win over Arsenal but insists 'I have nothing against him' | The Sun

MUTV commentator Ben Thornley delivered a savage assessment of Kai Havertz's performance during Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United.

Havertz started alongside fellow new signing Declan Rice in a midfield three with captain Martin Odegaard.

But Arsenal struggled for balance in the midfield as they fell to a 2-0 first-half deficit which United ultimately did not relinquish.

Arteta changed much of his team at half-time but Havertz remained on the pitch for the second half.

And Thornley laid into Havertz just minutes after the interval.

Co-commentator Stewart Gardner asked Thornley what changes he would make if he was in the Arsenal dugout to which he replied: "Well, I'd have just taken Kai Havertz off "cause he's rubbish!"

Gardner then replied: "What have you got against Kai Havertz?"

Thornley responded: "I've got nothing against him!"

Thornley himself is an ex-United player having come through alongside the likes of David Beckham, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes in "The Class of 92."

He made 14 appearances for United and was rated highly alongside the likes of Beckham and Scholes.
