FOOTBALL fans have reacted to a disgusting hot dog on offer at non-league club Lancaster City after an image went viral on social media.
The semi-professional outfit currently ply their trade in the seventh tier of English football – the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
But as low down the football pyramid as they are, the food is still well below what supporters would come to expect.
That is if you take the hot dog in question as an accurate representation of the sustenance on sale.
A photo of the grey, long sausage was posted on Instagram along with the caption: "Imagine paying £4 for a hot dog at Lancaster City and open it up to this."
And fans responded in their droves to the dreadful piece of matchday grub.
