Fans 'haunted' by Haiti star Jennyfer Limage's screams as she's carried off with horror injury against England | The Sun

FANS were left “haunted” by the screams of Haiti star Jennyfer Limage after she suffered a horror injury against England.

The Lionesses kicked off their World Cup campaign against the minnows this morning.

England took the lead at the second attempt after a re-taken Georgia Stanway penalty midway through the first half on 29 minutes.

Things got even worse moments later for Haiti when they lost one of their key players, who looked to be in agony.

Midfielder Limage, 25, went down to the turf initially clutching her knee around 24 minutes in after an innocuous looking challenge from Alessia Russo.

The brave ace then appeared to be holding back the tears as she received treatment near the touchline before she was eventually forced off just after the half hour mark.

And as Ruthny Mathurin came on to replace her, they quickly took to Twitter to react to the harrowing and heart-wrenching scenes that appear to have ended the player’s World Cup dream.

One fan wrote: “Those screams are haunting, definitely another ACL.”

Another tweeted: “The poor Haiti player screaming from pain.”
