First look at Chelsea kit as club 'finally' lands new front of shirt sponsor but fans joke team is 'losing again' | The Sun

CHELSEA have finally landed an official shirt sponsor – but some of the Stamford Bridge faithful aren't sold on it.

The West Londoners followed in Nottingham Forest's suit last season and kicked off the new campaign WITHOUT a shirt sponsor, much to the surprise of many.

But on Friday, they announced a £40million deal for sports data company Infinite Athlete to be their principal partner for the remainder of the season.

Chelsea have already begun teasing what their kits will look like with the addition of their new sponsor's logo on social media.

But several Blues fans are far from impressed, with one saying: "All mid jerseys."

Another said: "Another lose."

Chelsea CEO Chris Jurasek is delighted with the partnership, saying: "From the outset, it was clear the potential Infinite Athlete has in leveraging technology to unlock competitive advantage and to enhance the fan experience.

'We have a like-minded partner in Infinite Athlete.

"The speed at which our relationship has grown, alongside the evolution of Infinite Athlete’s business, made this an obvious extension to our partnership.

"Infinite Athlete has the potential to revolutionise the world of football and global sports, particularly when it comes to fans wanting to consume more match and player data and control their own viewing experience.

"While also providing players and coaches with insights and analytics that can help with player performance, health and safety."

The new-look kit will make its debut in Chelsea's Women's Super League clash with Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The men's team will don the kit for the first time in their London derby with Fulham on Monday night.
