Five jockeys who could replace Kevin Stott after he is sacked from Amo Racing job | The Sun

KEVIN STOTT has become the latest jockey to feel the wrath of Kia Joorabchian.

The football superagent is the boss of Amo Racing and after publicly digging out his retained rider Stott on live TV on Sunday, he's quickly pulled the plug on the partnership.

The news comes two months after Stott's agent Megan Nicholls was forced to deny rumours he'd been sacked.

Joorabchian isn't known for his patience when it comes to jockeys, having sacked the now flying Rossa Ryan last year.

Stott's tenure lasted just seven months and Joobrachian will now be looking to fill the void.

These jockeys are surely on his shortlist, be can he court them?

Danny Tudhope

It would take plenty to lure Tudhope in, but he's one of the most talented riders going.

His credentials were well advertised with two pearlers at Irish Champions weekend and that wouldn't have been list on Kia.

Frankie Dettori

Yes, I know, this one's a bit fanciful.

But Dettori did say he'd stick around for a big paycheck and Amo having been spending big for a number of years now.

Are Joorabchian's pockets deep enough? Probably, but it's still a longshot.

James Doyle

Having ridden winners for Shadwell and Coolmore in recent weeks, Doyle's Godolphin future looks rather blurry.

Doyle's been in excellent form this year and would surely be near the top of Kia's shortlist.

Jason Hart

Consistently one of the best Northern jockeys, Hart deserves his big break.

He's been smashing in 100-winner tally's for the last few years and he's proven at Group 1 level.

Rossa Ryan

Many thought Ryan was doing an excellent job at Amo before his sacking and Joorabchian may want to do some grovelling to get him back.

It's unlikely Ryan would want to go back, however, as his career has gone into orbit since he lost the Amo gig – swings and roundabouts!
