Forgotten Barcelona 'ghost signing' is 'arrested for firing unauthorised gun into the air in a car park' | The Sun

FORMER Barcelona defender Douglas Pereira has been arrested after allegedly shooting a gun into the air in a car park in Brazil.

It is understood the 32-year-old right-back had been drinking in a boat on Lake Paranoa around the time when the incident occurred on April 21.

He was asked to leave after falling out with the other people on the boat.

As reported by Football Espana, Pereira then walked through a forested area with an unauthorised gun, before arriving at the sports campus of Club Esportives Sul.

Security are said to have asked him to exit the premises after he "aggressively" confronted several people.

He then allegedly fired the gun up in the air in a car park.

He was detained and released on April 23.

The Public Prosecutor's Office for Criminal Justice have filed a complaint against Pereira for "illegally carrying and firing a firearm".

He played just EIGHT games during his FIVE YEARS with the Catalan giants as he was loaned out to the likes of Sporting Gijon, Benfica and Sivasspor.

He has been without a club since his seven-match spell with Besiktas came to an end last year.
