Forgotten ex-Arsenal wonderkid joins seventh club at 26 as he links up with Gunners loanee at Dutch side | The Sun

FORMER Arsenal wonderkid Gedion Zelalem has joined Dutch outfit Den Bosch.

This marks Zelalem's seventh club ever since his promotion to the Gunners' senior squad in 2013 – and he's only 26 years old.

The midfielder will be joining Arsenal loanee Nikolaj Moller, who joined the North Londoners in 2020, in the Dutch second division.

The American ace was drafted by former Emirates scout Yousuf Sajjad, who now works as Den Bosch's technical director.

Sajjad said: “We wanted to add a little more depth to the midfield choices.

"Gedion is a player that adds quality and experience in several areas.

“Gedion has already played in the Netherlands when he was loaned out by Arsenal at a young age.

"From that point on he has continued to develop himself as a person and as a player.”

Zelalem only managed four senior appearances at Arsenal during his six-year stint in North London.

The former USA and Germany youth international put together some impressive appearances during the Gunners' pre-season tour in 2013.

The defensive midfielder also shone bright against Coventry and Galatasaray the year after.
