Hakim Ziyech finally set to leave Chelsea with wantaway midfielder set for medical after Blues agree transfer fee | The Sun

HAKIM ZIYECH is finally set to leave Chelsea after a fee was agreed with Galatasaray.

The wantaway midfielder is not part of Mauricio Pochettino's plans for this season.

Ziyech was not included in the matchday squad for Sunday's Premier League opener against Liverpool.

He was also left out of Chelsea's pre-season tour of the USA earlier this summer.

The Guardian now report that he is set to seal a move away from the club.

Ziyech is currently travelling to Turkey to undergo a medical with Galatasaray after the two clubs agreed a fee.

Chelsea are hopeful the deal will not fall through, the Evening Standard add.

The club have had trouble offloading Ziyech, who has two years left on his contract, in the past.

A move to Al-Nassr earlier in the window collapsed after Ziyech reportedly failed his medical.

He had been set to join the Saudi Pro League side for £17million before they asked him to reduce his wages as a result of his failed medical.

Two moves also failed to materialise in January, with a paperwork gaffe preventing Ziyech from joining PSG.

The Moroccan also held talks with Roma over a potential transfer.

Since signing for Chelsea in 2020, Ziyech has made 107 appearances for the club.

In those matches, the former Ajax star scored 14 goals and provided 13 assists.
