Hojbjerg nears Atletico Madrid transfer as Tottenham line up THREE players including Chelsea star to replace him | The Sun

TOTTENHAM have reportedly identified their new midfield targets as Pierre-Emile Hojberg edges closer to a move to Atletico Madrid.

According to the Mail Online, Hojberg is a top target for Atletico and a deal is progressing.

New Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is said to have already started the process of identifying Hojberg's replacement.

It is reported that the North London club are interested in Premier League stars Conor Gallagher and Douglas Luiz.

They are also said to be considering Celta Vigo youngster Gabri Veiga as an option in that position.

Spurs could face competition for the signature of Gallagher, who has also been linked with a move to Newcastle United.

However it is also reported that Chelsea aren't keen on letting Gallagher leave as they don't want to strengthen their Premier League rivals.

But if The Blues were to secure their number one target, in Moises Caicedo, then this could change.

Douglas Luiz could be easier to tempt to North London for Postecoglou and his team, but it is currently unknown if Unai Emery would be willing to sell the Brazilian.

Luiz signed a new four-year contract at Villa Park last season after the club turned down a £25million bid from Arsenal.

Veiga is understood to be rated highly by Tottenham, but reports suggest they may favour Premier League experience to plug the gap in their midfield.
