He looks the type to improve plenty on this handicap debut. The Queen’s colt has shaped well at maiden level over 7f and will find more for this step up to a mile off a fair mark.
TELL’EM NOWT (5.10 Southwell, treble)
He went down in a tight finish at Newmarket four days ago. This is a fair drop in class at a course he enjoys.

He was impressive when coming late to score at Newbury last time and he has more to offer on his third handicap run.
Frantanck and Dal Mallart are two big dangers after good performances last time out.
WIND YOUR NECK IN 2
WIND up. Has been given a break since a couple of well below-par efforts early this season. He showed his best last term over this distance and has dropped to just 2lb above his last win. There’s a chance he hasn’t trained on but he’s worth a market check after a couple of months off.
COSMIC DESERT 3
DES res. Yet to win but has been knocking the door with defeats of just around a length at Ascot and Newmarket on his past two outings. He is off the same mark as that effort over a mile and this extra two furlongs should be ideal.
MAYTREE RESPITE 5
TREE a grower. Landed a deserved first win of the season over this trip at Newbury last time when coming with a late run. The handicapper has been fair with a 3lb rise and he should have a lot more to offer his in-form training team.
FRANTANCK 4
FRAN-tastic. Won a Goodwood maiden over a mile and wasn’t far off that form when third at Newmarket last time. Despite that he makes his handicap debut off a fair opening mark and could easily improve for going up in distance too.
DAL MALLART 4
DAL a pal. Got the job done by an impressive near five lengths at Haydock last time over this distance. The handicapper was watching and has hiked Alan King’s hope by 9lb but it’s early days and there’s every chance she can improve past that.
