TEMPLEGATE takes on a massive Saturday of racing certain of finding you a winner or two.

Read on for our man's tips, check out his complete ITV racing guide and don't forget to back a horse by clicking their odds.

VINO VICTRIX (3.40 Newmarket, nap)

He took a big step forward when tackling two miles for the first time on turf at Goodwood last time. He picked up really strongly to win going away.

He faces tougher rivals here but has just a 4lb penalty and looks open to improvement as a stayer.

ALPHA CAPTURE (2.05 York, nb)

He has improved with every run and went down in a head-bobber at Doncaster last time.

That was in a red-hot sales race over this trip and he should be too strong for these rivals.

FLYING HONOURS (1.50 Newmarket, treble)

He was so impressive when winning a Listed contest at Salisbury before going down by half a length in a Newmarket Group 2.

He’s a son of Sea The Stars so should relish this step up from a mile and there’s much more to come.

NEWMARKET

1.50

FLYING HONOURS was so impressive when winning a Listed contest at Salisbury before going down by half a length in a Newmarket Group 2.

He’s a son of Sea The Stars so should relish this step up from a mile and there’s much more to come.

Metal Merchant took an Ayr handicap with ease 21 days ago. He’s another who shapes like this extra quarter-mile will be up his street.

Batemans Bay won a Haydock novice contest with lots in the tank. This is a fair hike in grade but he’s capable of better.

Blanchland battled well to lose his maiden tag at Newcastle but this is a fair bit tougher, while Liftoff wasn’t disgraced in a French Group 3 and Frankie takes over.

2.25

HOLLOWAY BOY was pitched into a Listed race at Royal Ascot on debut and came out a 40-1 winner.

He showed that was no fluke when a close second at Glorious Goodwood before another good effort in the Tattersall Stakes at Newmarket. That is solid form.

Silver Knott landed the Group 3 Solario Stakes at Sandown but was well below that at Doncaster last time.

Moving up to a mile should help and he’s a big threat for Charlie Appleby who won this last year with Coroebus.

Epictetus was a smooth winner on debut here in July and is upped in grade on this comeback.

He will relish this trip and has improvement to come.

Exoplanet looked a nice type when winning on debut at Newbury and has an each-way chance.

Dancing Magic needs to improve on his Listed second at Haydock.

3.00

NOSTRUM can pass his biggest test after two blistering victories. He looked a potential superstar when winning the Group 3 Tattersall Stakes here last month and travelling like a quality performer.

Sir Michael Stoute is finishing the season in fine form and could have another Classic prospect on his hands.

Ballydoyle hope Aesop’s Fables blotted his copybook a little when a well-backed fourth in a Curragh Group 1 last time but he looked a machine in winning the Futurity there in August and the heavy ground may have been to blame. He can’t be ignored.

Naval Power enjoyed stepping up to a mile for a Haydock Listed win last month.

He has lots of pace but this will be the slowest ground he’s run on.

Chaldean didn’t have to break sweat when winning a Donny Group 2 at the Leger meeting and Frankie stays on boad.

He has a touch of class and is another to consider.

3.40

VINO VICTRIX took a big step forward when tackling two miles for the first time on turf at Goodwood last time.

He picked up really strongly to win going away. He faces tougher rivals here but has just a 4lb penalty and looks open to improvement as a stayer.

Jumps trainers often win this and Willie Mullins has a few chances, with Gibraltar looking the pick.

He is no weight even before talented claimer Saffie Osborne takes off another 3lb.

He has won well on his past two starts and goes up in grade with every chance.

Nicky Henderson saddles Ahorsewithnoname with Ryan Moore doing the steering. She stayed strongly when scooting in a York when last seen in May.

Hendo knows how to get one fit at home and she goes on any ground.

Run For Oscar returned to the level to win nicely at Haydock and is another contender despite an 8lb rise.

Zoffee was a bit unlucky when only third at York last time and Frankie can get a nice tune out of Hugo Palmer’s hopeful who has lots of stamina.

YORK

2.05

ALPHA CAPTURE has improved with every run and went down in a head-bobber at Doncaster last time.

That was in a red-hot sales race over this trip and he should be too strong for these rivals.

Bolt Action was placed in three Listed races on the trot before a convincing success at Salisbury. He sees out this trip well and looks a threat.

Johnny Murtagh’s raiders are always respected and his Bay Of Plenty scored well on debut at Naas last month despite trouble in running. He’ll improve for that.

William Haggas won this last year and his Kyeema has a couple of victories on his CV although an extra furlong would be ideal.

2.40

PROTAGONIST ran well in the Cambridgeshire last time.

He ended up getting the worst of the draw but was second in his group. He earlier landed two good wins over this trip and can go close.

Marching Army is the danger. He went from the front when scoring in decent company at Newbury last time and could repeat that in this small field.

Stay Well was fifth in that race coming back from a break and should be fitter. He’s also 6lb better off at the weights so could close the gap.

Saga moves up from a mile and needs to prove his stamina from what still looks a high mark.

3.15

AIR RAID looks a big price after running right up to his best at Hamilton last time.

He was beaten a neck in that competitive contest and clocked a good time in the process.

He likes this trip and has every chance of at least matching last year’s third in this race.

Dusky Lord has gone up 9lb for an easy Ayr Silver Cup success last time.

The first-time cheekpieces worked wonders there and he’ll be a huge threat if they have the same effect.

Old boy Gulliver has won this race twice and is 8lb lower than his 2020 success.

He ran well at The Curragh two starts ago and can’t be ruled out.

Lethal Nymph was impressive at Ascot last weekend when scoring by more than two lengths.

He’s up the weights but is only three and should be capable of improvement.

Lucky Man won on his last visit here before putting in another good effort when fourth in the Ayr Gold Cup.

His liking for the track makes him a threat although he’s unproven on soft ground.

Laugh A Minute has gone close on his past two runs at The Curragh and is best over this trip.

He likes a big field and is a must for the shortlist.

Mr Wagyu was unlucky in this last year when bumped and he ran well in Ireland before a good fifth in the Ayr Gold Cup.

He’s a regular in the frame at this level.

Strike Red won nicely on the AW latest and is another to consider each-way.
