ACKLAM EXPRESS 1
EXPRESS derailed. Last win came here in 2020 and he's been held on all starts this season. This looks too tough.
AINSDALE 1
DULL Dale. Fair form over 6f but came up short in a Group 3 at Newcastle last time and this is a tall order.
CLARENDON HOUSE 1
EMPTY House. Solid run in King George at Goodwood over this trip and will like the ground. Needs to raise his game.
DRAGON SYMBOL 3
DRAGON Flier. Good third in this last year but has been hit and miss since. Decent win at Hamilton last time and best over this trip. Capable of running into the frame.
EMARAATY ANA 3
EM appeal. Group 1 winner over 6f last year but hasn't fired yet this season including at Newmarket last time. Very best gives her a squeak.
KHAADEM 4
TRUMP Khaad. Two good wins over this trip including in a Goodwood Group 2 last time. Ryan Moore stays on board and he's right in the mix again.
LAZULI 3
LI high. Beaten a length by Khaadem at Goodwood but has shown his best at this trip and trainer Charlie Appleby continues in good form.
RAASEL 4
RAA star. Consistent and followed a Group 3 win with a close second in a Goodwood Group 2. Trip ideal and won't be far away again.
EBRO RIVER 2
RIVER sunk. Best form over 6f including when scoring at Chester last time. Capable of better but drop in trip not sure to suit.
NEW YORK CITY 1
NEW old. Listed winner who has struggled in Group contests in Ireland last two. This looks too much.
HIGHFIELD PRINCESS 5
AIM High. In flying form over 6f and took a French Group 1 in style last time. Won a Group 2 on last visit here in May and has enough pace to figure down in distance.
WINTER POWER 2
POWER cut. Last win was this race 12 months ago and she's run poorly every start since, including here last time. We know she can win it but current form puts you right off.
FLOTUS 3
FLO go. Going well over 6f including when winning the Group 3 Summer Stakes here last time. Likes to go from the front but vulnerable to a speedier closer.
ROYAL ACLAIM 4
ROYAL approval. Looked classy when taking a Listed contest over course and distance in July. This is tougher but she's capable of better. Big player but a skinny enough price.
THE PLATINUM QUEEN 4
QUEEN may reign. Easy winner at Goodwood last time and trainer Richard Fahey thinks she's up to this higher level. Won here last month so track suits and she's getting lumps of weight as a two-year-old. Chance.
Templegate's tip
HIGHFIELD PRINCESS can wear the Nunthorpe crown.
She has been flying over further but has enough pace for this trip.
Youngsters The Platinum Queen and Royal Aclaim can give her something to think about.
