THIS is the awkward moment a winning racehorse owner celebrates with his 'lucky' bird poo – and then joked he wasn't going to wash it off 'for a few weeks'!
Jubilant Anwar Badri proved the old adage about bird droppings being fortunate was true as Fire Lake won at Newton Abbot on Monday.
The Milton Harris-trained five-year-old ran out an easy winner of the handicap hurdle over 2m1f.
Backed into 11-8 favouritism, Fire Lake won by two lengths from Manor Park under a nice ride from Mitchell Bastyan.
Normally winning owners are popping the corks on Champagne after pocketing a few thousand for victory.
But Badri proudly showed off the bird poo that had falled on his arm just prior to the off.
He said: "Just before the race started… I'm not going to wipe it off for a few weeks.
"I don’t think I've heard about that happening before.

Sky Sports Racing host Hayley Moore was cracking up interviewing Badri after his big win.
Asking him about the poo on his arm and whether it was the first time it had happened, she joked: "I can't believe I said that."
Badri, who is based in Dubai, was full of praise for Harris after prepping the horse for back-to-back wins.
He added: "He is a top trainer and you can’t believe how grateful I am to have bumped into him in town by chance. He is a believer and compliments go to the full team."
