I'm a Man Utd Wag and the price of a VIP box is disgusting but if you don't buy one you're considered to be a loser | The Sun

A MANCHESTER UNITED Wag revealed the price of renting a VIP box at Old Trafford is "disgusting".

But she said if a player opts against stumping up the cash, they are considered a "loser".

Maja Lindelof, the wife of centre-back Victor, got her first taste of Old Trafford following his £31million transfer from Benfica in 2017.

And it did not take her long to be stunned by the cost of the hospitality suites at the time as well as United's policy for players.

Speaking in September 2017, marketing expert and blogger Maja said on her Livet På Läktaren [Life in the Stand] podcast: "Here the players have the option to rent a box and I'm not even going to tell you for how much but a disgusting amount of money.

"And if you don't buy one you're considered to be a loser.

"But having a box is wonderful because you have your own waiter."

Reports in 2017 suggested figures ranging from £24,000 to £81,600 per season for a private box at Old Trafford.

However, the Mirror state fans wanting to rent out the Sir Alex Ferguson Box on Level 3 for a match for eight people costs a staggering £10,940 plus VAT per person.

That totals up at a staggering £105,024 – but does include a signed framed Red Devils shirt on top of food and drink.

Sweden international Lindelof earns around £120,000 per week at Old Trafford.

He and Maja, 28, showed their generosity within months of their arrival in England by auctioning their box for charity.

The couple, who married in 2018 and have two kids, raised money to support children impacted by human trafficking for the Premier League clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford in the 2017-18 season.

Business entrepreneur Maja, 29, was also dubbed the Premier League's 'hottest Wag' with a 9.7 score on an app called AttractivenessTest.
