Italy legend Daniele De Rossi sacked after just FOUR MONTHS of first managerial job at SPAL with side in relegation zone | The Sun

ITALY legend Daniele De Rossi has been sacked as manager after only four months at Serie B strugglers SPAL.

The 39-year-old was in only his first job in football management but could not replicate his on-pitch talent in the dugout.

De Rossi lost his job after only 16 league games in charge, managing just three wins.

Spal sit third bottom in the table a point away from safety in Italy's second tier.

SPAL announced their decision with a statement on their website where they also revealed a number of backroom staff were also leaving the club.

They said: "SPAL announces that Daniele De Rossi has been relieved of his role as first team coach.
