Jamie Vardy next club – latest transfer odds: Chelsea lead Man Utd and Liverpool in race for Leicester ace, MLS move 6/1 | The Sun

CHELSEA are just ahead of Manchester United as the favourites to be Jamie Vardy's next permanent club.

That's the view of Betfair, who price the Blues at 5/2 to be Vardy's next home if and when he quits Leicester City.

The Vardy family haven't been out the headlines this summer.

Jamie will be hoping that continues but for the right reasons as he eyes a successful Premier League campaign in front of goal.

The 35-year-old featured only 25 times in the league last season due to niggling injuries.

Although he did contribute with 15 goals from those appearances, as well as two assists.

In total, it was better than a goal every other game across all competitions, netting 17 times in 33 games.

That was the same number of goals he bagged in the campaign previous, despite playing a lot less games.

Brendan Rodgers has done well to manage Vardy to keep him going as he enters the latter stage of his career.

But Vardy has shown he still knows where the goals are and that could be valuable to his club or any potential suitors.

He is reportedly on the radar of Chelsea and Man Utd who are dealing with strikers crises at the minute.

Chelsea have already let Romelu Lukaku go, with Timo Werner reportedly set to follow suit.

While United look set to keep Cristiano Ronaldo despite his interest to leave, while Edinson Cavani has already departed.

Vardy has just one year left on his Foxes contract which might see one of the big clubs look to land him to fix their issues on a short-term deal.

Betfair odds

  • Chelsea 5/2
  • Man Utd 3/1
  • Any MLS club 6/1
  • Real Madrid 16/1
  • Liverpool 16/1

With Chelsea 5/2, United are currently second favourites at 3/1 with Betfair.

A switch to the MLS is next in the betting at 6/1 which could see the family make a fresh start.

Although with Wayne Rooney's involvement in that division, it could make a meeting between their prospective clubs a potential blockbuster.

Real Madrid and Liverpool are the other two clubs quoted in the betting and are at bigger odds of 16/1.
