THE Las Vegas Raiders have parted ways with head coach Josh McDaniels and GM David Ziegler.
In a statement shared on Tuesday night, the Vegas-based club confirmed Antonio Pierce will take on the role of interim head coach as the search for McDaniels' replacement continues.
“After much thought about what the Raiders need to move forward, I have decided to part ways with Josh and Dave,” owner Mark Davis said.
“I want to thank them both for their hard work and wish them and their families nothing but the best.”
McDaniels signed a six-year contract less than two years ago and has now become the first non-interim coach in the Super Bowl era to be fired by two franchises before the end of his second year.

Who is Davante Adams married to?

Who owns the Las Vegas Raiders?
The Las Vegas Raiders were established in Oakland, California in 1960 as a member of the American Football League. The team later joined the NFL in 1970.
Between 1972 and 2011, the Raiders were owned by former football coach and executive Al Davis.
After Davis' 2011 passing, ownership was transferred to his wife 57 years, Carol Davis, and their son, Mark Davis.
Then, in May 2023, it was announced that Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady had "come to an agreement" with Davis to join the organization's ownership group.
"We're excited for Tom to join the Raiders," Davis told ESPN.
While there might be an agreement on the table, the purchase has not been finalized as of this writing.
