Man Utd fans delighted with 'so simple' moment from midfield in win over Palace and say 'that should be standard' | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED supporters were left crowing over a “so simple” midfield moment last night.

And they claimed “that should be standard” after their side’s 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Crystal Palace.

Goals from Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial secured the holders a place in the next round after the convincing win at Old Trafford.

After a difficult start to the campaign that has led to Jamie Carragher and many other pundits questioning United’s midfield, yesterday’s performance did provide a glimmer of hope for frustrated fans.

Mason Mount returned from injury to bolster the ranks while fellow summer signing Sofyan Amrabat impressed on his full debut.

However, there was one clip from the game that had United followers purring on social media as it went viral.

“Hannibal and Garnacho truly bursting themselves to get back to help defensively.”

Another said: “The willingness from Garnacho, Mount & Hannibal.
