DETAILS of Erik ten Hag's man-management with Manchester United's academy starlets have been revealed.

The Red Devils boss' attention to detail has left fans saying "I love this man so much".


Ten Hag is set to begin his second season in the dugout tonight as his side host Wolves in the Premier League.

He has already broken the club's trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup last season.

Now supporters have been given another reason to get behind their Dutch manager.

According to The Athletic, Ten Hag arranged meetings with several academy prospects towards the end of last season.

Amongst those he spoke to was promising winger Shea Lacey.

The players were given the chance to speak privately with Ten Hag, who explained what he expects of them during their time at the club.

He also told them what is necessary if they are to become first-team players as well as his vision for the club.

The approach has been well received by supporters, with one fan tweeting: "I love this man so much, I hope he stays here for as long as he lives."

Lacey is highly thought of at United and has been tipped for greatness by fans, including one who said: "Lacey is going to be a star."

"Future Ballon d'Or winner," added another.

The 16-year-old forward was promoted to United's under 18's squad last summer whilst still aged just 15.

He is also an England youth international and has been dubbed the club's "answer to Lionel Messi" by supporters.
