MANCHESTER UNITED could be boosted in their hunt for Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund thanks to Christian Eriksen.
The Red Devils are in the market for a striker this summer and have been linked to the likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.
Hojlund, 20, is less proven than that pair but did announce himself on the world stage in the last international break with five goals in two games for Denmark.
He scored a hat-trick on his debut and will likely get the opportunity to impress for his country once again this month, with games against Northern Ireland and Slovenia.
Hojlund will also link up with Eriksen for the first time following the midfielder's return from injury.
And Eriksen could help persuade the youngster to join him at United, according to the Manchester Evening News.

That task may not prove so tricky, however, as Hojlund is a self-confessed boyhood United fan.
He also shares the same agent as Erik ten Hag, though the Red Devils' boss will want to carry out thorough checks on the player and his personality before green-lighting a transfer.
Hojlund recently played down talk of a switch when he was asked about a potential move.
He said: "It is a huge club, so I must have done something right if it's rumoured they want me. We have to see what happens.
