MANCHESTER UNITED are close to an agreement with Ajax over the transfer of Antony, reports suggest.
According to The Athletic, talks between the two clubs have progressed over the past few days.
The Red Devils are now increasingly confident that the deal – which is estimated to be worth around £85m – will be completed before next week's deadline day.
Personal terms are not expected to be an issue as Antony has made it clear that he wants to join Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
