    Antony hints he could go

Ajax star Antony has hinted he will leave this summer amid intense interest from Manchester United.

The winger is reportedly United's priority transfer and the Dutch champions rejected a whopping £68million bid from United.

The Brazil international admits he is "very happy" in Amsterdam but can make no promises about his future.

The 22-year-old also revealed he still cheers for former manager Erik ten Hag, who is determined to bring him to Old Trafford.

Antony told De Telegraaf after being asked if he can assure fans he will stay at Ajax: "No. To be honest, I can't.

"I can say that I want to make the right decision together with my family, agents and Ajax. God decides my future in the end."

How Ten Hag should get the best from Casemiro

Terry Gibson told SunSport that Ten Hag should play Casemiro in the defensive midfield position and free up BOTH Fred and McTominay.

Gibson is a football scout and analyst for La Liga TV.

The former United striker said: "It might be a tough start for him right now at Man Utd but if you look at his qualities, his pedigree, his career, and his experience – it should be a success.

"But I think it's important that United use him exactly the same way as Madrid did.

"I think it would be disrespectful to Fred and McTominay [to say he'll replace them both], but you are talking about a player that’s played for Real Madrid for a decade and won five Champions Leagues.

"He should be an obvious upgrade. My hope is that he’ll play in front of the back four on his own.

"He should be that first line of defence in front of the back four.

"I hope for United's sake they can ask him to do exactly the same job he did at Real, which is quite straightforward but he does it really well and really effectively.

"I think he's better suited playing as that one holding midfield player and allowing others to go and express themselves."

Casemiro should be an obvious upgrade. My hope is that he’ll play in front of the back four on his own.

Casemiro will be a success, says Gibson

Casemiro will be a success at Manchester United if Erik ten Hag uses him the right way.

That's according to La Liga expert and former Red Devils striker Terry Gibson.

Boss Erik ten Hag is looking to improve his defensive unit following a humiliating 4-0 defeat at Brentford.

And Gibson says the Brazilian, if part of the right system, will provide Ten Hag with a sizeable upgrade.

He told SunSport: "Casemiro is a serial winner in terms of his mentality."

“But I am not that long in the club to see all the backgrounds, we have to fight together and be unified.”

“How does that help you? How does that help the players in the dressing room?”

Ten Hag replied: “I don’t know what he wants to achieve with that.”

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke has shut down rumours linking the club with Cristiano Ronaldo although he admires the player.

Watzke said: “I love him as a player, it’s certainly a charming idea to see Cristiano Ronaldo play at Signal Iduna Park.

“But there is no contact at all between the parties involved. So from now on, you should stop talking about it.”

Meanwhile, Man United target Antony was reportedly forced to train alone at Ajax, with the Dutch champions said to have resisted a bid of £67.5million.

The Daily Mail report the star is keen on joining United, and he may be left out of the squad for Sunday’s clash with Sparta Rotterdam.

Finally, Man United skipper Harry Maguire is reportedly being eyed by Chelsea.

    Fans mock Maguire video

Harry Maguire is selling charity video messages for £249 each — but has been ribbed by fans for messing up his lines.

Maguire, who could be dropped for his side’s clash with Liverpool on Monday, was given a paltry two stars out of five by one fan.

They wrote: “Good video but you left out my nephews Alfie and Bradley. Disappointed.”

Another supporter, who asked Maguire to send a video message for his son, said: “I know he will like it but you missed one thing.”

Maguire has posted five messages on video-sharing site Cameo, filmed in his home or car.

The £190,000-a-week defender said in his introduction video: “I’m on Cameo to help raise money for SoccerAid for Unicef.

"Let’s connect and together we can help kids around the world.”

    Man City claim refuted

Gary Neville has been slammed for his claims that Man City will never be as big as Man United.

Neville made the claims on the Diary Of A CEO podcast.

But Danny Mills doesn't agree with Neville and told the Express: "To say that they’ll never be there is totally wrong. Man United didn’t just appear as one of the biggest clubs in the world, neither did Liverpool.

"In terms of success, United are over 50 years old. In another 40 years, where are City going to be? Gary Neville has got no idea where either team will be. Things will change over the course of time."

    Man United shares explained

Manchester United is a publicly traded company after the Glazers listed the business on the New York Stock Exchange for $2.3billion in 2012.

In Britain, takeovers of public companies are relatively straightforward — a bidder makes an offer to buy all the shares that are traded and the shareholders vote in favour or not.

In the US, companies can have two classes of shares with Class A shares not being as powerful as Class B shares.

The Glazers own 96.7 per cent of United’s Class B shares, which also have 67 per cent of the entire company’s voting rights.

This means that even if all of the investors in United’s publicly traded Class A shares want a takeover, the Glazers have enough of a blocking vote with their B shares to oppose a deal.

In addition, the Glazers also own United through a Cayman Islands vehicle, which has laws that can delay or prevent a change in ownership.

    Ten Hag speaks on Ronaldo

Ten Hag has refused to single out Ronaldo for criticism after Man United's loss to Brentford.

The Dutchman reckons all the squad are to blame, not just Ronaldo who he insists is still in his plans despite the Portuguese star wanting to allegedly leave.

Ten Hag said: "I don't know why he's a particular focus after Saturday, it was the team performance and the whole team's attitude, including Ronaldo.

"He's in our plans, that's what I can say."

    Ten Hag issues demand

Erik ten Hag ordered his players to sort their attitude out as they prepare to face Liverpool on Monday.

Ten Hag said: “I think I made myself clear I was definitely not happy.

“You can talk about football, you can talk about the plan, philosophy but it starts with the basic stuff, the right attitude, fighting attitude and I didn't see that from minute one.

“You have a plan, a way of playing and then you check how the game went and then you clearly analyse and see what's wrong and what's good.

"Obviously, a lot went wrong but we don't have to talk about anything when the attitude is not right.

“You have to bring it in every game on the pitch, especially Monday night.”

But Klopp doesn't want his team to suffer if the Red Devils' faithful's actions forced the game to be cancelled.

    Learn from Arteta

Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn insists Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag needs to learn from Mikel Arteta.

Winterburn told Paddy Power: “Erik ten Hag is the manager that's been brought in, so they have to give him time. If I'm honest, Man United look exactly like Arsenal, but they’ve probably fallen further in terms of status, than Arsenal have.

"In my period there was some huge battles in terms of winning titles and both teams have fallen and are now trying to climb.

“It looks to me as if Ten Hag needs to try and do what Mikel Arteta has done, which is sweep the board. The Manchester United players are too comfortable. The level of performance wasn't high enough, you've got to push the bar up and it's looking as if United are going to have to do the same.

“In saying that, they've already spent a huge amount of money since Sir Alex [FAerguson] left, but they've now got to get trust in a manager and try and get a process where there's some sort of structure. It's still very early but we're looking from the fallout from last season, and they are well off the pace, and they did need to do something drastically over the next season and a half”
