Breaking: Garnacho signs new deal
Alejandro Garnacho has signed a new five-year deal at Man Utd.
A club statement confirming the news said: "Manchester United is pleased to announce that Alejandro Garnacho has signed a new contract that will extend his stay at the club until 30 June 2028.
"The Academy graduate has already made 31 appearances for the senior team, at the age of 18."
Garnacho himself added: "When I joined this incredible club, I dreamt of achieving my debut, playing at Old Trafford, scoring my first goal and winning trophies with this badge on my chest.
"I feel very proud and emotional to have experienced these moments already, together with my family who have supported me every step of the way."

Ex-United star follows Dad's footsteps
Former Man United star Nani has seen his son follow in his footsteps after signing for his former club.
Son, Lucas, has signed a contract with Sporting Lisbon, where Nani played during his youth career.
Nani joined the Sporting CP youth team back in 2003, winning the National Junior Championship in 2004-05, before making his first-team debut early in the 2005-06 season.
He signed for Manchester United in 2007, who paid about £22million for the young winger.
The current Melbourne Victory player posted a picture on Twitter of Lucas signing a contract with Sporting.
He captioned it with an emoji of a pen, a green heart and a lion.

The lowdown on Neymar
The Brazilian attacker is considered one of the biggest talents in the world.
He is also his nation's joint top goalscorer ever, matching Pele's 77 goals.
And he would be a marquee signing for the club to signal the new owners' intentions moving forward.
He has scored 18 times in 29 games this season, but he has been hampered by ankle injuries.
And his inconsistent availability and reportedly mammoth £616k-per-week contract have led to rumours that PSG would be willing to part ways with him.
Neymar is still the most expensive player in world football following his £198million transfer from Barcelona to the Ligue 1 giants.
His contract at the Parc des Princes is set to run until 2025, although he has the option to extend it to 2027.

Kane reveals he heard United fan chants
Harry Kane says he heard Manchester United supporters’ chants regarding a potential transfer move as he opened up on Daniel Levy’s meeting with the Tottenham squad.
The England captain played a key role in helping Tottenham come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with United on Thursday.
And at half time of the game, when the Old Trafford club were leading by two, the visiting supporters were heard chanting: “Harry Kane, we'll see you in June.”
When asked about the songs from the away end last night, the star said: “I heard what they were saying but I'm just focussed on this team and trying to finish strongly.”

David attracts interest
Manchester United have been joined by Chelsea and Tottenham in the pursuit of Jonathan David, according to reports.
French outlet L'Equipe have claimed the trio are candidates to sign the Lille forward for just over £57million.
Only Kylian Mbappe has outscored the Canadian in Ligue 1 this season, with David netting 21 goals and adding four assists in 31 games.

Ex-Arsenal star Nigel Winterburn has warned Harry Maguire he will stripped of his captaincy if he does not leave Man United in the summer.
Speaking to Paddy Power, he said: "It's unlikely that Harry Maguire will be Manchester United’s club captain next year because you want your club captain to be playing regular football.
“He certainly won’t be club captain, but whether he looks for a move away depends on whether he feels he’s getting enough game time or can force his way back into the team.

'We lacked control' – blasts Eriksen
Christian Eriksen has admitted complacency played a part in United throwing away a two-goal lead over Tottenham.
Eriksen was controversially hooked in the 61st minute of the match, but did not hold back when talking about the loss.
He told BT Sport: "I think we took a bit of the gas off.
"That was our problem. I think it has been [like] that for a few games, where we are sharp and [have not] kept it going.

Manchester United fans have blasted the subs made by Erik ten Hag during their 2-2 draw with Tottenham.
The Dutchman replaced Christian Eriksen and Sancho for Fred and Anthony Martial in the 61st minute.
He then fired off another double change ten minutes later in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Antony being replaced by Tyrell Malacia and Wout Weghorst.
Fans blasted the Dutchman's tactics on Twitter, with one saying: "Ten Hag has started making the wrong substitutions. Should have just left that starting 11."
A second commented: "Erik ten Hag's substitutions were a mess."
A third typed: "I don’t want to blame Ten Hag but the subs killed the game. After the first half the only substitution we needed was Antony off for Sabi and Bruno to the right."

Fans were left confused after Erik ten Hag claimed the 2-2 against Spurs was a "good draw".
The Dutchman said: "We are disappointed – we were 2-0 up. We had the chances to make it 3-1 which we didn't take.
"We were not good over the 90 minutes, we did not play brilliant. After half-time, being up 2-0, we had to score another goal…
"We need energy and we have to be ready for Sunday (against Aston Villa). But in the end, good draw.”
But fans were left wondering whether he had lost the plot online, with one saying: "Ten Hag just said 2-2 is a good draw has he lost the plot."

Following Man Utd's 2-2 draw at Tottenham, Erik ten Hag took no prisoners in criticising his team.
He fumed: "We were not ready, some thought 90 per cent was enough.
"We lose focus, that is why we gave balls away and then you concede goals. That was the case and you lose control of the game.
"It has to be 100 per cent, you have to bring every time. I know that they are not robots and it is a tough schedule but we can't accept it.
"When you are a player for Man United, wearing the shirt, you have to give. Every occasion, every game.

Former Manchester United star Marcos Rojo has launched a stinging attack against Harry Maguire and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Speaking to TyC Sports, he said: "In 2019 I was playing in the Europa League, but I was really angry with the Manchester coach [Solskjaer] because he was putting Maguire [in the team] instead of me, who thank god finally they took him out from the starting line-up for Licha [Lisandro] Martinez.

Erik ten Hag claims he "saw it coming" as United slumped from 2-0 up to a 2-2 draw at Spurs.
Pedro Porro and Son Heung-min cancelled out recalled winger Jadon Sancho's fine early opener and Marcus Rashford's strike, although Bruno Fernandes somehow only hit the bar from nine yards at 2-1.
Nonetheless, Ten Hag believes home victory over Aston Villa this Sunday will complete a "great week" that started with reaching the FA Cup final.

"Before, I think a draw was ok but when you see this game you have to get over the line.

Given a warm welcome on his return and obliged with a poor performance.
Passes went uncharacteristically astray. Turned his back on Porro shot that brought Spurs back into it. Could have no complaints about substitution.

Kept things ticking along for United in first half but without really grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck as he had done previously, which meant Spurs were never quite out of it even at 2-0 down.
Could not stem second half tide and missed late header.

Very quiet until his 25th-minute shot forced a save out of Forster.
Came into the game more and then found a killer pass for Rashford to score United's second.
But he should have put United 3-1 up straight after Spurs' first goal.

Untroubled for most of the first half but made two smart stops from Perisic before United grabbed their second.
Helpless for both goals and left exposed by a defence that gave up chance after chance in the second period.

Played high and wide in the first half to stretch the pitch and give United room to play. Made important defensive interventions, too.
Like the rest of the team,he was forced on to the back foot by Spurs' revival, but coped better than Dalot at least.

The unlikely hero of Wembley had a decent first half against Tottenham’s front three.
Important headed clearance early in second half but lost composure a bit and was lucky not to see a second yellow card for a foul on Son.

Who needs a World Cup-winning centre half like Lisandro Martinez when you’ve got Shaw? In the right place at the right time, almost all the time.
The only United defender to keep his head as Spurs turned the game around.

One of Ten Hag’s less heralded success stories did his job well again filling in for Shaw at left back in the first half and helped Sancho make his impact.
But he was caught out of position as Spurs surged and lost Son for the equaliser.

United's control and deserved 2-0 lead fell apart after the break as resurgent Tottenham nicked a draw.
It means Newcastle are clear in third place, two points above the Red Devils.
