'WE WANT TO GET TO TEN'

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has set his Man Utd team a target of reaching ten points to get out of their Champions League group.

He said: “We want to get to 10 points as quickly as we can, for me that’s the magic number really.

“Not many teams don’t go through with 10 points so it’s another chance now to get three more on the board and we’re just focusing on this game now.”

    NO BEEK DEAL

Solskjaer on Van de Beek: “No I don’t have to speak to him about what’s said or written. I speak to every player quite regularly.

“It’s a good thing for us that people see the depth we have in the squad and, okay, if Donny doesn’t play one game then there’s a good player that doesn’t play, but there are also other players there that want to play.

“Donny is adapting and is getting more and more used to us as a team and the way we want to play, and of course the Premier League is a different scenario to Eredivisie and we’ll see a lot of him, don’t worry about that.”

Man Utd face another test of their mettle as they take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

The Red Devils have been drawn in a group of death which will see only two of United, the German side and Paris Saint-Germain qualify.

But they got off to the perfect start as Marcus Rashford netted a last minute winner in the opening game away to PSG.

However Leipzig were also in confident mood in their opener as former Man City star Angelino netted twice to down Istanbul Basaksehir.

United fans will hope to see a number of big names who haven't had a chance recently play their part in this game.

Paul Pogba has been frozen out in the Premier League recently but will hope to play in this one, while new signing Donny van de Beek has barely had a look in.

Meanwhile Edinson Cavani will expect to be handed the opportunity to build on his weekend debut when he came off the bench against Chelsea.
