GOODWOOD is all over the pedigree of Nashwa, which bodes well for Hollie Doyle as she bids to become the first female rider to land today's feature Group 1 Nassau Stakes.
The Epsom Oaks heroine and Prix de Diane heroine faces eight rivals in this afternoon's Qatar-sponsored contest, and with a rating of 114 and getting weight from the older mares she really should be too good for her rivals.
For Doyle it's a big chance to take centre stage after a run on Trueshan in the Goodwood Cup Tuesday which could have gone a little more fluently, for all Alan King's star was a decent third behind Kyprios.
Nashwa is by Frankel, who was brilliant in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, while her dam Princess Loulou only ran at the track once, but was a fine second in decent company. John and Thady Gosden's Classic winner has a huge chance.
The Nassau, taken by the wonderful Lady Bowthorpe last year and in the past by stars in Midday and Ouija Board, is the feature race on ITV, whose coverage starts with a handicap over 1m2f.

Possible St Leger contenders on show in the Group 3 Gordon Stakes for three-year-olds over 1m4f.
DEAUVILLE LEGEND travels like a machine and stays well so I'll risk him eachway for James Ferguson and Danny Muscutt. My selection did well to land the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket last time and while he has a bit to find with some of these I doubt he will be disgraced if acting on the track.
After the Nassau is a handicap for juveniles over 7f. A wide open event hard to predict.
TRUE STATESMAN bolted in at Chester last time and while he has to hump 9st 9lb he should be hard to stop for Charlie and Mark Johnston and Ryan Moore. Stall seven could be better but has to have strong claims.
Finally a handicap over 5f. NAVELLO might have an eachway chance for George Boughey and William Buick. Although beaten the last twice at Newmarket and Chester he's not been totally disgraced and form at Brighton and Chester suggests this track will be fine.
