PAIGE SPIRANAC has given her witty response after she topped the list of the most followed golfers on Instagram.

The star was ahead of household names such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in the latest sign of her huge popularity.



The glamorous golfer was also the only women on the list with Spiranac cultivating a huge online following in recent years.

The 29-year-old has 3.6 million Instagram followers and often wows fans with stunning pictures and updates on how her career is going.

As it was revealed by Golf Magic that she topped the male-dominated list of which golfers had the most followers on Instagram, she had a brief and hilarious take on her online fame.

Spiranac tweeted: "This just in. Men like golf and boobs."

The sports star was named "World's Sexiest Woman" by Maxim magazine earlier this year.

But she has faced criticism about her outfit choices while out on the golf course.

Her huge following means she also earns more per Instagram post than her golf rivals.

Tiger Woods, who has won 15 majors in his career, came second on the list with £3m followers.

The American quickly became one of golf's biggest names after arriving on the scene in the late 90s and has won several tournaments during the early years on his career.

He also stunned the golfing world in 2019 when he stormed past the pre-tournament favourites to win the Masters for the first time in 14 years.

In 3rd on the list was Rory McIlroy who has 2.3 million followers.

The Northern Irishman finished 2nd in this year's Masters behind Scottie Scheffler and has four majors to his name.

Making up the top five were Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth with 1.8m and 1.7m followers respectively.

The rest of the top 10 were made up by Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka and Bubba Watson.
