LEWIS MACARI is proud to follow in the footsteps of grandad Lou but is determined to create his own legacy in the game.
Manchester United legend Lou Macari made 404 appearances for the Red Devils between 1973-84.
He won 24 Scotland caps and also played for Celtic and Swindon, but Lewis is now making strides in the EFL too.
The right-back, 21, made his debut for Stoke in the FA Cup this season after spending time on loan at Dundalk to gain experience.
He is now doing the same at Notts County and marked his debut for the Magpies with a magnificent goal to help them to a 2-1 win over Gillingham.
Lou was a midfielder who helped Celtic win four consecutive league titles between 1969-1973 before winning the FA Cup with United in 1977.

But Lewis is determined not to be distracted by his grandad's accomplishments as he looks to carve out his own successful career.
The youngster said: "When I play, it doesn’t come into my head that my grandad had a good career in the game.
“It’s something I never really think about. I’m just trying to do my own thing and I’m trying to do it to the best of my ability.”
Lou is confident his grandson will achieve success and praised his temperament after he was first called up to the Stoke first-team squad two years ago.

The former United star told the BBC: "He's a level-headed lad. He knows what he's achieved. He knows what he's got to achieve to get in on a regular basis.
"He'll focus on that, he'll try his best because that's what he's all about. He's got to make a name for himself and I'm reasonably confident he can do that."
Lou's son Paul played for Stoke and Huddersfield but his appearances were limited before he quit the professional level aged 27.
After football Paul took up co-ownership of a branch of Domino's Pizza, and running restaurants appears to be a Macari family trait.
Lou owns Lou Macari's Fish and Chip shop' around the corner from Old Trafford.
The chippy has a 4.5/5 rating on TripAdvisor and caters to thousands of fans on matchday who can pick up chips with gravy for £2.50.
When he's not busy dishing up fish and chips, Lou appears as a pundit on MUTV, where he is often critical of United's transfer policy.
