Newcastle fighting Real Madrid and PSG in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia transfer battle with Napoli demanding £50m-plus fee | The Sun

NEWCASTLE UNITED are fighting Real Madrid and PSG in the race for Napoli's hot shot Khvicha Kvaratskhelia according to reports.

Kvaratskhelia has been in superb form this season and has 23 goal contributions in 23 appearances this season with Napoli 15 points clear at the top Serie A.

The winger – nicknamed 'Kvaradona' – arrived at the Italian club last summer for around £10million from Georgian side Dinamo Batumi.

But 90min have reported that as well as interest from European giants Real Madrid, Manchester City and PSG, Newcastle United are also keen.

The report states that Eddie Howe's men have been linked with a £50m deal but Napoli have no intention for selling anywhere near that price.

The Georgian's agent has confirmed that there is 'a lot of interest' but the winger remains fully focused on Napoli.

Mamuka Jugeli said to CalcioNapoli : "There is a lot of interest from other clubs."

He then offered assurances to Napoli fans.

He added: “Kvara, however, is only thinking about winning the Scudetto and Napoli's matches in the Champions League."

Napoli will be hoping the man nicknamed Kvaradona by fans continues his form as they search for a first Serie A title since 1990 and possible Champions League glory.
