Portsmouth new-boy Colby Bishop baffled after mad transfer scramble with Blackpool deal collapsing over childhood injury | The Sun

NEW Portsmouth striker Colby Bishop was left bewildered after a crazy transfer scramble.

Bishop saw a move to Blackpool collapse over queries about his medical and an injury he had in his teens.

As the Seasiders dithered, Pompey came back in and signed Bishop from Accrington Stanley after another medical.

The 25-year-old has played more than 100 senior games since the injury happened during his school days.

Blackpool had reportedly agreed a fee and personal terms with the striker before the old injury put paid to the deal.

The last-minute swoop means Danny Cowley has bolstered his attacking options as his side look to make an assault on promotion in League 1.
