Liverpool 2-1 Bournemouth

Fulham 0-1 Brentford

Wolves 0-1 Brighton

44′ – The hosts are caught out as they attempt to play it out from the back. Diop plays the ball into Wissa’s path, and the Brentford striker takes it past Leno before guiding the ball into an empty net for his second goal in as many games this season.

42′ – Brenford defender Collins denies Fulham a goal scoring opportunity with a block from a free-kick. Still goalless at Craven Cottage.

36′ – Salah’s penalty is poor and saved by Neto. But the Egyptian pounces on the rebound to put Liverpool ahead.

34′ – Rothwell sticks out his leg and brings down Szoboszlai. The referee points straight to the spot.

28′ – Silva goes clean through on goal after timing his run well but he’s unable to beat Steele. Massive chance for the hosts!

27′ – The Reds are deservedly level. Bournemouth fail to clear their lines as Jota’s cross takes a deflection before it falls for Dias, who produces a brilliant acrobatic finish from close-range.

26′ – Bournemouth almost get in behind again through Solanke. But the Bournemouth striker is sandwiched by Robertson and Van Dijk before going down. He gets straight back to his feet.

24′ – Liverpool take a quick throw deep in Bournemouth’s half. Jota manages to get away and plays a one-two with Salah in a tight angle before releasing a shot which is easily held by Neto.

15′ – What a fantastic solo goal that it. Mitoma cuts in from the left and unleashes a shot which flies past Wolves goalkeeper Sa.

17′ – Robertson swings in a free-kick which no Liverpool player is able to get contact on and Bournemouth head the ball out.

The hosts regain possession and deliver a cross which goes above everyone. Jota goes down and there are appeals for a penalty but the referee is having none of it.

12′ – Fulham have put together some good moves but they are yet to get in behind the Brentford defence.

13′ – Liverpool’s push for an equaliser continues. Alexander-Arnold’s powerful shot from a tight angle is pushed over for a corner.

6′ – Liverpool are applying the pleasure and nearly equalise. Roberton’s outswinging corner is met by Van Dijk, whose header rattles the bar.

3′- Bournemouth’s fast start is rewarded with a goal. Alexander-Arnold is pickpocketed by Billing in his own half. The midfielder tries to unleash a shot but it comes out to Samenyo who slams the ball home.

1′ – Wow, electric start. Bournemouth play a long ball from the back, Alexander-Arnold fails to control it and Alisson comes of his line and Anthony guides the ball into an empty net but he’s deemed to be offside.

All three 3pm matches are now underway. Let’s hope for plenty of goals and action!

Liverpool last hosted Bournemouth 357 days ago and crushed the Cherries 9-0.

A lot has changed since, with Bournemouth on their third manager since that day.

Will it be more of the same today or will Andoni Iraola’s side cause an upset?
