PSG put ELEVEN players worth £240m on transfer list including Wijnaldum and Icardi ahead of summer overhaul | The Sun

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have put ELEVEN first-team flops on their transfer list, according to shock reports in France.

The Ligue 1 champions have already axed boss Mauricio Pochettino this summer, replacing him with Christophe Gaultier.

PSG also allowed Angel Di Maria to leave on a free – with the ex-Real Madrid and Manchester United winger joining Paul Pogba at Juventus.

But now the club – still desperately chasing a first-ever Champions League crown – are set to flog nearly a dozen first-team players to raise funds for a summer spending spree.

According to Le Parisien, PSG have put 11 first-team stars up for sale – despite the group costing them a staggering £240million down the years.

Neymar and Presnel Kimpembe are two of the biggest names linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes this summer.

But the pair are NOT on the 11-strong list.

Ex-Liverpool man Georginio Wijnaldum – who only joined last summer – leads the list, along with former Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.

Neither have been able to force their way into the starting XI, with the striker particularly way down the pecking order, which includes Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Icardi cost PSG a whopping £45m following his permanent transfer in 2020, having initially joined on loan a season earlier.

And he isn't the only big-money buy looking to be flogged.

Man Utd target Leandro Paredes, Thilo Kehrer and Julian Draxler – who all cost over £30m when brought to the French capital – are on the axe list.

Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye and Layvin Kurzawa were all brought in for more than £20m.

In all, the star-studded list – which also features ex-United ace Andre Herrera, Danilo Pereira and Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe – cost PSG £240m.

However, the club could find it tough to offload their deadwood, with many of them on six-figure salaries.

PSG will be hoping players will accept huge pay-cuts to leave the club as they fight for a spot in their nation's side at this winter's World Cup, rather than risk losing their spot after rotting on the bench in Paris.

The club are looking rebuild in a new chapter following Pochettino's exit – which cost them £8.5m in compensation.
