Retired WWE owner Vince McMahon 'banished own son Shane from running company over chaos of 2022 Royal Rumble' | The Sun

VINCE McMAHON decided his son Shane would never be in charge of WWE as long as he is running the company.

That is according to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, who claims Shane, 52, "would never get another pop in WWE", as per the orders of Vince, 76.

That is because of the "chaotic" booking of this year's Men's Royal Rumble main event.

The 52-year-old was the lead producer of the men's over-the-top-rope battle royal.

The ex-European Champion competed in the main event as a surprise entrant but received a lot of heat backstage after the show due to the way the bout was booked.

Shane was then quietly let go from the company by his own father shortly before WrestleMania 38.

And reports suggest his father Vince decided he would never give him the chance to run the show again as long as he is in charge.

But the American businessman recently announced his retirement as Chairman, CEO and Head of Creative after 40 years on the wheel.

The 76-year-old stepped down following accusations of sexual misconduct and reports he allegedly paid several women millions in hush money between 2006 and 2022.

Vince has been replaced by his daughter Stephanie, who is now Chairwoman as well as co-CEO and will be in charge with co-CEO Nick Khan.
