Royal Ascot acca made up entirely of favourites begging to be backed at 7-1 | The Sun

FOUR huge Royal Ascot favourites look like they are begging to be backed in a four-fold for the biggest week of the Flat racing calendar.

Sun Racing has sifted through each one of the 35 races and picked out the horses who really should do the business.

If they all win then the price of the four-fold coming in is around 7-1 at the best odds available.

Let's take a look at the selections, taking the current best odds available and subject to change.

Baaeed – Queen Anne Stakes (Tuesday)

1-3

Odds-on now and with the potential to go off even shorter on the day, unbeatable Baaeed looks the banker of the meeting.

He's too short to back alone (unless you have incredibly deep pockets) but can form one quarter of your acca.

Baaeed, trained by William Haggas and owned by Shadwell, has been compared to Frankel.

This four-year-old superstar is unbeaten in seven over a mile and should make mince meat of rivals in the first race on day one.

Coroebus – St James's Palace Stakes (Tuesday)

8-15

This winner of the 2000 Guineas – a money-making machine for owners Godolphin – can keep the acca dream going.

A convincing winner at Newmarket, with Irish 2000 Guineas winner Native Trail behind, Charlie Appleby can mop up another Group 1 in style.

Coroebus' main challenge looks likely to come from the heavily backed My Prospero.

Haggas' horse has less experience with one fewer race but saw off The Queen's highly touted Reach For The Moon in style at Sandown last month.

Still, you'd think the colt has to improve quite a bit to match let alone beat Coroebus, especially as he is rated 7lb lower.

Homeless Songs – Coronation Stakes (Friday)

5-4

When Dermot Weld's filly hacked up in the Irish 1000 Guineas, she had subsequent Oaks winner Tuesday in behind.

Now you could argue Tuesday's Epsom victory was a touch fortuitous given Emily Upjohn's slip at the start.

But win she did, franking the form of Homeless Songs' Curragh romp.

There is no stronger form out there – although be warned, 1000 Guineas winner Cachet and Inspiral, favourite for the race before pulling out with injury, could also run.

Hurricane Lane – Hardwicke Stakes (Saturday)

4-5

St Leger winner Hurricane Lane has not been seen since a close third to freak 80-1 Arc winner Torquator Tasso last October.

By the time he runs on Saturday, the four-year-old Godolphin runner will have been off for 258 days.

But the good news is he loves going fresh, as was evident when he won at Newbury in April last year after a 177-day break.

Of course you could argue he looks a tad vulnerable at the odds, especially with the likes of Al Aasy in behind.

But, while a course and distance winner, he doesn't have the back class to match Hurricane Lane… not yet, at least.

Stick all four horses in an acca at around 7-1 for Royal Ascot
