Ryan Reynolds reveals how David Beckham embarrassed him when he watched his Wrexham play at Wembley with England legend | The Sun

WREXHAM co-owner and Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds admitted he was left with egg on his face in a recent meeting with David Beckham at Wembley.

Reynolds looked back at that embarrassing moment during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live as he was interviewed by fellow celebrity and Dragons owner Rob McElhenney.

The Deadpool star and McElhenney both attended the FA Trophy Final between their club and Bromley in May with various celebrities in the royal box, such as Will Ferrell and of course Beckham.

Wrexham fans quickly went silent after seeing the linesman's flag except for Reynolds and McElhenney who were still celebrating passionately long after the referee's decision.

The BT Sport commentator said: "Somebody needs to explain the offside rule to the A-Listers."

In fact, the celebrity duo admitted they didn't get the offside rule and the Inter Miami owner was so disappointed he shook his head at them.

Reynolds said: "How humiliating… In fairness, nobody understands the offside rule. Please…"

McElhenney added: "We were cheering. We looked over at Beckham. He was just shaking his head."
