Stan Kroenke forces critical Arsenal fans into shock U-turn with adorable video as they say 'I'd trust him with my life' | The Sun

STAN KROENKE has won over critical fans as he greeted Arsenal players and Mikel Arteta.

Gunners supporters have often been heavily critical of the American and even protested for him to sell the club.

However, fans have performed a shock U-turn regarding their opinions of him.

Kroenke now appears to have the Arsenal faithful's backing following several smart signings, choosing not to fire Arteta and thanks to a lovely moment in pre-season.

With the team in the US for friendlies against the MLS All-Stars, Manchester United and Barcelona, Kroenke attended a training session.

He was joined by son Josh and his two bulldogs.

Arsenal stars Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko came over to greet them and their pets before being followed by Arteta.

The owner also had chats with the likes of Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka.

Fans hailed the relationship between the team and Kroenke, admitting their views on the 75-year-old had changed.

One said: "I hated these fellas three years ago and now I’m fully content with what they’re doing."

Another reacted: "I was convinced we had the Glazers mark two for owners, now I would probably trust the Kroenkes with my life."

A third added: "What a lovely bloke Stan Kroenke is."

Others praised the manager, saying: "Arteta has mad aura."

Kroenke purchased a majority stake in August 2018 after initially joining the board of directors in 2008.

Fans were previously unhappy with the lack of investment in the team, partly blaming him for the club not finishing in the top four for six seasons in a row and due to their involvement in the European Super League.

Kroenke has splashed the cash this summer spending over £200million on Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.
