STOKE have sacked Michael O’Neill after just five games of the Championship season.

The Potters have lost three of their opening five league games under O'Neill this season.

And their poor run of form has left them sitting just one point out of the relegation zone.

O'Neill's only managed to lead his troops to one victory in the current campaign.

The 53-year-old was handed the role in 2019, but a 1-0 loss to Sunderland last weekend has now cost him his job, The Telegraph reported.
