Templegate's Tote placepot picks with £150,000 guaranteed on Betfair Sprint Cup day at Haydock | The Sun

THERE is a guaranteed £150,000 up for grabs in the Tote placepot at Haydock on Saturday.

Betfair Sprint Cup day promises to be a cracker on the track and the Tote are stumping up the mega cash offer for placepot punters.

Templegate has gone through the card and picked out who he fancies below.

Don't forget to take up the Tote's brilliant new customer offer, where you can bet £5 and get £20 in free bets*.

HAYDOCK SATURDAY PLACEPOT

LEG 1 Chindit, Regal Reality

CHINDIT got the better of Light Infantry in the Lockinge earlier this season and they can battle it out.

Richard Hannon’s hope will be happier back over this mile after a solid third dropped in trip for the Hungerford Stakes.

TOTE: BET £5 GET £20*

REGAL REALITY is solid at this level and was beaten just half a length at Salisbury. He’s getting on a bit but looks a solid bet for the podium.

LEG 2 Denmark, Naqeeb

DENMARK ran a cracker when second in the Melrose at York and he’ll be hard to beat provided this isn’t too soon 14 days later.

He will improve after just one run over a staying trip.

NAQEEB comes from top-class Baaeed’s family and William Haggas will hope he’s better than a handicapper.

He had ten lengths in hand when winning his maiden at Kempton. That was over 1m4f but he wasn’t stopping.

LEG 3 Caius Chorister, Aztec Empire

CAIUS CHORISTER was a revelation upped in trip for the Ebor last time, finishing an excellent sixth despite trouble in running.

Most recent winners of this ran at that York meeting and he has every chance off the same handicap mark.

AZTEC EMPIRE was unlucky on the Knavesmire 17 days ago, going down by a neck after being blocked. That was over two miles but he can figure dropping in distance.

LEG 4 Shaquille

SHAQUILLE looks hard to beat after his gutsy wins in the Commonwealth Cup and July Cup. He scored despite missing the break and likes this trip.

LEG 5 JM Jungle, Copper Knight

JM JUNGLE goes well here and went close at York last time on the back of an excellent effort at Goodwood. A 1lb rise for that latest run gives him every chance again.

COPPER KNIGHT was less than a length off the pace in hot company at York last time and has every chance of making the frame.

LEG 6 Macduff, Al Musmak

MACDUFF looked a hot prospect when winning on debut for Ralph Beckett at Newmarket last month. This longer trip should bring lots of improvement.
