    Kane to jet off

Harry Kane is waiting for Tottenham's permission to fly to Germany and complete his move to Bayern Munich.

According to Sky Sport's Florian Plettenberg, Kane is on his way to the airport with his phone on stand by waiting for Spurs' green light.

The North Londoners are hindering the striker's move and have revoked his permission to fly.

The England captain is waiting right now every second in the car for permission to fly to Munich for a medical check.

    Harry Kane on the move

Harry Kane certainly took his time, not that Bayern Munich or Tottenham fans were thanking him for it, reports SunSport's Charlie Wyett.

But the England captain, after keeping both sets of supporters glued to their phones waiting for confirmation of the transfer, has clearly delivered the right decision to move to Bavaria.

It should be an exciting chapter of a fine career which, so far, has failed to yield a single trophy.

Once the clubs agreed a fee of over £100million, both sets of supporters would have thought it was deal done.

So everyone in Germany, including Bayern themselves, were left totally baffled as the transfer suddenly stalled.

  • Former Gunners' target Moises now eyes Chelsea

Liverpool are poised to make a FOURTH bid for Romeo Lavia after learning top target Moises Caicedo is now determined to join Chelsea.

Kop boss Jurgen Klopp ordered his recruitment team to explore the possibility of hijacking Brighton ace Caicedo from under the noses of their rivals.

But the midfielder remains Chelsea’s No 1 target and has made it clear that if he leaves the Seagulls it will only be for West London.

Knowledge of the 21-year-old’s views meant no formal bid was registered by Anfield.

Chelsea have offered Southampton £48million with add-ons for Lavia — £3m more than the Reds.

But, after having a third offer of £45m rejected for Lavia, 19, Liverpool will at least match the Blues’ bid — although relegated Southampton want £50m.

However, Saints also know Lavia’s aim is to claim the holding role in a rebuilt Anfield midfield.

Personal terms between the Belgian teen and Klopp’s side have been agreed for weeks.

Mason NOT on provisional squad numbers list

Mason Greenwood has suffered a blow as Man United release their provisional squad numbers list – and he’s NOT on it.

The striker, 21, has been suspended by the Premier League club since January 2022 and not kicked a ball for them since his arrest.

Greenwood was later charged with attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour, before the charges were dropped in February by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

And Utd are expected to make their decision on his future in the coming days.

Greenwood could have his contract terminated, be put back into the first team, loaned out or sold.

It comes after The Sun revealed snaps on Tuesday of Greenwood looking relaxed as he trained on a public pitch.

His dad and coach, Andrew Greenwood, instructed him and cradled the player’s newborn as he ran through shooting drills with pals.

And today the club released provisional squad numbers for the new season.

But he was later loaned out to the Canaries for the second half of the season.

The Brazil Under-20 international is now expected to move to France in a deal thought to be a straight loan with no option to buy included within.

    Gunners tipped to pursue Luiz

Aston Villa could face a late Arsenal bid for Brazil midfielder Douglas Luiz.

That’s the claim today as the Gunners ponder whether to bring in a potential new partner for £105million record buy Declan Rice.

    Credit: Rex

Football Insider even suggest Villa are looking at possible replacements for Luiz.

The nine cap star, 25, who failed to make it at Manchester City, has been valued at around £35million.

So far Thomas Partey appears likely to play alongside Rice when Arsenal open their Prem campaign at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

But Luiz is the latest option mentioned as the Gunners appear out of the running for £90million-rated Chelsea target Moses Caicedo.

Harry's Cott the lot to be a Hammers' hero

West Ham legend Tony Cottee believes Manchester United ace Harry Maguire could end up becoming a hero for David Moyes’ side.

The ex-England striker told talkSPORT: "I think it’s a good signing.

"Potentially he will be the captain – might have been part of the negotiations. I like centre-halves who are captains. He is a good player.

"You watch him in the World Cup, he’s a good player. Of course he’s had a bad time at Manchester United but he can be an absolute hero [for West Ham]. The fans will love him."

    Kane 'agrees terms'

Harry Kane has reportedly reached agreement to join Bayern Munich – straight after Spurs dismayed fans with a huge hint on their website.

It appears the England skipper is now only awaiting the go-ahead from Tottenham to complete a £104million move by Friday.

The Athletic's David Ornstein believes "personal terms" have been settled for his switch to the German giants on a four-year contract.

it followed Tottenham dismaying fans by removing their "greatest ever player" from glitzy website images – leaving strikepartner Son Heung-min alone.

Kane, 30, needs to take a medical before sealing a move – providing Spurs accept Bayern's latest offer.

Tottenham supporters went from fearful to devastated as Thursday night's developments unfolded.

One posted: "Absolutely gutted, this hurts. He gave us so many great moments but we never backed his ambition if we’re being truthful. Our greatest ever player."

Another said: "This actually hurts bro."

Leics is flaw as Prem cock up

THE Premier League has been forced to delete a tweet after fans spotted a glaring error in the post.

On the eve of the top flight’s return, the Prem has been busy promoting the new season on their social media channels.

Part of that promotion saw them tweet out a list of the winners since the Prem’s inception in 1992/93.

However, eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a notable omission from the “Wall of champions”.

The tweet, which asked fans who would be champion at the end of the 2023/24 season, left off one of the most memorable victories of recent times.

Such has been Manchester City‘s recent dominance that it could be easy to forget a time when they went three seasons without the title.

But between 2014/15 and 2016/17 that is exactly what happened, with Chelsea picking up two league titles and Leicester City‘s remarkable win in 2015/16 sandwiched in-between.

But looking at the graphic, Leicester’s badge had been inexplicably swapped for a Man City one.

Reacting to the gaffe, one fan said: “Am I going nuts, or are Leicester not there?” A second wrote: “Did Leicester get removed💀.”

    Hammers 'back in for McTominay'

West Ham are reportedly revving up their interest in Scott McTominay – leading to claims they could take a step back over James Ward-Prowse.

Journalist Sean Whestone suggests the Hammers have reopened talks with Manchester United over Scotland midfielder McTominay.

That's despite David Moyes' men being tipped yesterdayfor a £30million bid for Southampton's England star Ward-Prowse.

United are understood to be willing to offload up to three senior midfielders – McTominay, Fred and Donny van de Beek.

Bayern confident on Kane despite ‘second thoughts’ claim

England captain Harry Kane has been given the go-ahead for a mega-money move from Spurs to German big-shots Bayern Munich.

The Premier League giants finally accepted an offer of £104million after rejecting three bids.

Last night Harry, 30, was still yet to sign — despite vowing his future must be decided before Tottenham start the new season on Sunday.

But amid reports that he was having second thoughts and would stay, Bayern sources said the club were confident of landing Harry.

The England striker has the choice between Champions League football and finally winning silverware or remaining in London and trying to break the Prem goal record.

Kane is understood to have settled personal terms which would see his wages double, and has taken his family to scout for a new home.

But there is speculation that he has become worried about uprooting pregnant wife Katie, 29, and children Ivy, four, Vivienne Jane, two, and Louis, six months.

Bayern, who have been European champions six times and won the German title 33 times, were sure they had their man.

Harry’s delay in signing the deal yesterday led to fears among some that he was turning his back on a £22million-a-year payday.

But other sources said the complexity of the deal honed by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy meant it “might not be concluded quickly”.

    Silva happy to snub Saudis

Marco Silva is one of the few people to turn down Saudi Arabia and their oil millions this summer.

The Fulham boss knocked back a £40million offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli and says competing at the highest level is more important than money.

Steven Gerrard, Nuno Espirito Santo and Slaven Bilic are all bosses in the Gulf state, while the Saudi league have been throwing eye-watering amounts of cash at big name players all summer.

Silva said: "I was not close to leaving the club. I did receive some offers to leave, my decision was to stay and I am really pleased.

"I am happy here and want to be in the Premier League, competing at this level with the best and most difficult competition in the world.

"The decision was clear. When I mention that this is the best competition in the world it is really what I feel. I know what I am talking about. I want to be in this competition and I want to challenge myself.

"I want to play against the best teams in the world and be involved against the best managers in the world too and I want to be here. It is easy. I am feeling good at this football club.

"The decision was clear for myself. Of course I spoke to other people. You have to think with your staff, you have to analyse with your family.  But the answer is clear. I am in the competition that I want to be in and I want to challenge myself."

Buy, Heck! – I need to spend more

Paul Heckingbottom has pleaded with Sheffield United owner Prince Abdullah to splash some cash after admitting the Blades are "desperately light and miles away".

United have sold last season's two best players Iliman Ndiaye and Sander Berge, to Marseille and Burnley, in the last 10 days following promotion.

Negativity is swirling around Bramall Lane given their only arrivals are untested youngsters.

And boss Heckingbottom said: "We need more players – if you watch us train you’ll see we are nowhere near where we need to be. We have a lot of young boys.

“What we do now until the end of the transfer window will determine how the season goes, and that’s the message to Prince Abdullah. It’s important he knows what I think.

“We are desperately light and massively stretched. Prince Abdullah has assured me the money is there to spend so we need to go and spend it.

“Since I arrived in November 2021, we’ve lost 18 players and bought six in! We are 12 light. I am pushing for players with a bit of experience who are going to give us a big lift.”

Red Devils not giving up on Sofyan

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat could yet join Manchester United this month, it's claimed tonight.

The Morocco star was thought to be leaning towards Atletico Madrid.

But Sky Sports' Dharmesh Sheth believes a deal with United is still possible, especially if boss Erik ten Hag offloads two or three players

And transfer guru Fabrizio Romano even believes Amrabat IS keen on Old Trafford.

Romano told his YouTube channel: “The player wants to move, but it's crucial to understand that to enter important stages of the deal.

"A bid is needed, a conversation is needed between clubs. This will happen when Man Utd complete some of the outgoings.”

Liverpool aim to hijack Chelsea's Caicedo bid

Liverpool believe they could snatch £90million-rated Moises Caicedo from under the noses of Chelsea.

It comes 24 hours after the Blues were considering trying to do the same to the Reds over Southampton's Romeo Lavia, valued at £48m.

Brighton are digging in over their price tag for Ecuador star Caicedo.

And after interest from Arsenal, especially in January, it's Chelsea who have made most of the running for the 21-year-old this summer.

But tonight it's suggested Liverpool hope Caicedo will prefer a move to Anfield than Stamford Bridge.

Red Devils face keeper crisis for Prem kick-off

Manchester United are facing a goalkeeper crisis ahead of Monday's Prem opener at home to Wolves

It comes after No2 Tom Heaton suffered an injury ruling him out of the Red Devils' season opener against Wolves.

It leaves Andre Onana as the only fit senior goalkeeper at the club.

SunSport revealed how Dean Henderson's transfer to Nottingham Forest had been delayed by a thigh injury, which he is still nursing.

Meanwhile, United have already sold Nathan Bishop to Sunderland while David de Gea left the club on a free transfer earlier this summer.

United are also set to sell forgotten goalkeeper Matej Kovar to Bayer Leverkusen, according to reports.

And this means the club will now likely need to call up Under-21 goalkeeper Radek Vitek, 19, who playd once in pre-season.
