Watch Alisson 'pay tribute to Onana' with 'embarrassing' howler as Brighton star passes ball into net from 25 yards | The Sun

FANS have said Liverpool goalkeeper Allison has "paid tribute" to Andre Onana after a howler in the first half against Brighton.

The goalkeeper was caught out after Liverpool looked to build from the back and the ball was given away by Virgil Van Dijk.

The pass was just short of Alexis Mac Allister, who probably should have done more to bring the ball under his control.

Brighton's Simon Adingra did well to pounce and intercept the pass and made no mistake about making Liverpool pay.

The winger did not have to strike the ball hard with many comparing his shot to a pass past Alisson.

Some fans on Twitter pinned more of the blame on Alisson than Van Dijk or Mac Allister for giving the ball away, with one saying: "If this was Onana we wouldn't hear the end of it. Terrible from Alisson."

Adingra's strike put Brighton 1-0 up after 20 minutes in a game they have done well in.
