'We're leaving' – Paul Pogba and Mino Raiola stormed out of Man Utd meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson after Juventus talks | The Sun

PAUL POGBA and Mino Raiola once stormed out of a meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson after the then-Manchester United boss' derisory contract offer.

In 2012, a young Pogba quit Old Trafford to join Juventus after just three Premier League appearances.

The French midfielder was desperate to land regular first-team football and was willing to head to Italy to get it.

And Pogba revealed it was an easy decision to make after he and late agent Raiola walked out of a meeting with United legend Ferguson after a lowball contract offer.

During one scene of his new documentary, Paul Pogba: The Pogmentary, he and Raiola recalled a shocking clash that prompted the move to Juve.

Raiola said: “Mr Ferguson thought that the value of Paul [Pogba] we were exaggerating and he should be happy to sign.

“I told him that for this money my chihuahua would not walk on the grass of the training centre.”

Pogba, present for the crunch talks in 2012, recalled: “I was shocked.

"I was like, ‘OK’. We got our stuff and he said we’re leaving. And we left.

"Sir Alex Ferguson probably never experienced something like this in his career."

At the time, Ferguson slammed Pogba's decision to head to Juventus, claiming the deal had been in the work for a "long time".

Fergie said: "Pogba signed for Juventus a long time ago as far as we're aware.

“It is disappointing. I don't think he showed us any respect at all, to be honest.

"I'm quite happy that if they carry on that way, they're probably better doing it away from us."

Elsewhere in the Pogmentary, Pogba and Raiola can be seen rejecting a "nothing" offer of £300,000 offer to extend his United contract – with Gary Neville saying his "failed" return leaves a "bad taste in the mouth".

Pogba returned to Man Utd in 2016 for a then-world-record £89million.

But in six years and 226 appearances, the 2018 World Cup winner has struggled to replicate the form that saw him become a global superstar at Juventus.
