West Ham transfer news – latest odds: Bookies reveal FIVE most likely striker signings | The Sun

WEST HAM are in the market for a new striker this summer and Armando Broja is odds on favourite to be the man to solve their problems.

Betfair are currently pricing the Chelsea frontman at 4/7 to be the striker that David Moyes has been chasing for so long.

Since Sebastien Haller left the club in January 2021, Michail Antonio has been the club's only recognised striker.

Despite the Jamaican being a capable option, the introduction of European football to West Ham's fixture list last season meant he had to be rested and rotated, resulting in people having to be played out of position.

Moyes tried in January to sign someone to offer competition for Antonio but nothing came through.

It's expected that Broja, who spent last season on loan at Southampton, could be the man Moyes wants.

However a slight snag has been hit in the move, with reports that the 21-year-old is flying off to the USA today to join up with Chelsea's pre-season tour, meaning a move can't be too close to being secured.

The Albania international scored nine goals in his first Premier League season and earned lots of plaudits for his performances with the Saints.

Next on Betfair's list of most likely striker purchases is Anthony Martial at 8/1.

The Manchester United forward has struggled in recent years at Old Trafford, resulting in him being sent on loan to Sevilla for the latter half of last season.

The Frenchman is currently on United's pre-season trip in Thailand, and with Cristiano Ronaldo not on the tour due to 'personal reasons', Martial is the only senior striker in Asia for new manager ten Hag to look at.

The 26-year-old started and scored in the 4-0 win over Liverpool on Tuesday.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney is also thought to be being looked at by the Hammers.

The 26-year-old scored 12 league goals for the Bees last season as they comfortably survived relegation in the end.

Betfair price a move to West Ham at 9/1 but the striker has also been linked with a return to his former club Newcastle.

Danny Ings' first season at Aston Villa didn't quite go to plan for either party as he struggled to find the form he'd been enjoying over previous seasons.

The 30-year-old is behind Ollie Watkins in Steven Gerrard's pecking order at Villa Park, and could be on the search for a new club as he enters the latter half of his career.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is another player who has frequently been linked with a move this window.

The Everton frontman has been linked with Arsenal, Newcastle and both Manchester sides this window already, with Betfair offering 16/1 to the Irons' next striker purchase.
