The revelation came after Wyatt's death was announced by a top WWE legend.

Triple H shared the tragic news on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In a heartbreaking statement, he branded Bray's death "unexpected".

He announced: "Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today.

Reports claimed that Bray was suffering from a serious heart illness.

The star had contracted COVID but he was progressively recovering before symptoms went worse.

Bray's illness previously halted his plans to face fellow top wrestler Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania last April.

At the time, he was suddenly released by the company in 2021 but came back the following year.

On his return, Bray thanked fans for supporting him throughout the tough times of his release.

He said: "I am incredibly grateful. I’m really, really nervous to be here. I never thought this would happen."

"This right here, this is just me OK? This is a version of me I never got to introduce to you guys before. This is just me being me – genuine me – for the first time."

But his heart issues escalated – eventually causing the fatal collapse.
